    Description

    The Cafe Patachou Assistant Kitchen Manager's role is to uphold all Won't Stop Hospitality Inc. and Cafe Patachou standards both with and in the absence of the store's Kitchen Manager. The Assistant Kitchen Manager reports directly to both the Kitchen Manager and General Manager and has supervisory responsibilities for all BOH hourly employees of their respective location. This position will manage BOH hourly staff 2 (two) days per week, providing coverage in absence of the Kitchen Manager. Unless otherwise approved, the Assistant Kitchen Manager will resume regular hourly line cook duties, while continuing to be a leader, the remaining 3 (three) shifts per week. The Assistant Kitchen Manager follows direction from both their Kitchen Manager and General Manager to lead and motivate staff utilizing Martha's Book of Rules to uphold and promote the Company's mission and objectives.

    The Assistant Kitchen Manager will coach and train their staff to continuously elevate the market perception of Won't Stop Hospitality Inc. as Radically Different and Radically Better; as the restaurant leader within the "greater Won't Stop Hospitality Inc. market."

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • Serves as a model and assures staff adherence to all policies set forth by Won't Stop Hospitality Inc. and Martha's Book of Rules.
    • Coordinates and oversees the day-to-day workflow of subordinate staff.
    • Assists the Kitchen Manager when needed with hiring, training, and performing reviews for all BOH hourly staff and follows all established procedures related to these processes.
    • Assists the both the Kitchen Manager and General Manager with employment actions, including discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
    • Communicates all issues to the Kitchen Manager and General Manager in a timely and honest manner assuring that Cafe business meets legal and procedural requirements at all times.
    Requirements

    Duties/Responsibilities:
    • Understands, communicates, and ensures staff and, if necessary, customer understanding of company-wide initiatives.
    • Works with Kitchen Manager to ensure compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards.
    • Assists the Kitchen Manager with inventory, ensuring ethical use of company resources.
    • Addresses all staff concerns utilizing established systems for reporting and follow-up.
    • Maintains store compliance with all ServSafe certification and liquor license permitting.
    • Maintains Won't Stop's high standards of quality in all aspects of daily operations while protecting all company assets and property.
    • Ensures ongoing restaurant maintenance and repairs are addressed in a timely manner. Communicates and documents established preventative maintenance schedule.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.
    Salary Description

    $55,000-60,000
