About The Role


As the Manager, Product Marketing - Beauty & Wellness, you will support the beauty and wellness product marketing and strategy at goop - including goop Beauty, goop Wellness, and You will help drive cross-functional alignment, including managing product launches, revenue targets, and deadlines.

You have experience in the beauty industry in a product marketing role, preferably within the clean beauty space. This position reports to the VP - Category Lead, Beauty & Wellness.


Responsibilities Include:

Provide Insights & Recommend Categories:Conduct analysis of the category and provide data-informed recommendations for product portfolio, including hero SKU strategy. Utilize consumer and market insights, social listening, and analytics to support beauty and wellness new product and reformulation strategies. Ideate new storytelling angles around hero products to recruit and drive consumer love.

Launch Support:Work on global product launches, including product architecture, pricing, positioning, go to market strategy, and product launch process. Work with cross-functional partners to ensure on-time launches from concept to trade.

Product Positioning and Messaging: Provide product brand positioning and marketing tactics for new and existing products in partnership with Product Development, Wholesale, Editorial, Brand, Social, Growth, Creative, and Integrated Marketing teams to grow market share. Help prepare and execute comprehensive launch plans inclusive of product naming, package selection, artwork, fact sheets, claims, differentiation, key messaging, and positioning to drive acquisition, retention, and revenue.

Market Size and Scope: Define market size and scope for potential new product and reformulation concepts, referencing relevant benchmarks, competitive analysis, and data points.

Financial Planning and Budgeting: Work cross functionally to ensure innovation planning and core products meet business objectives and deliver on financial plans. Maximize ROI and value by regularly assessing performance metrics, consumer feedback, and data insights.

Channel Partnership: Partner with e-comm, Retail, and Wholesale teams to identify unique strategic and growth opportunities, product assortment, and exclusive products by channel.

Portfolio Management: Support annual SKU management exercise with Planning team, overseeing Inventory and hero priorities, markdown Inclusions, discontinue/sunset SKUs. Provide strategic recommendations for goop Beauty vs. multi-beauty portfolio.


Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years' experience working in the beauty and/or wellness categories (e.g., skincare, makeup), preferably in a product marketing role. Exposure to clean beauty is a plus.
  • Experience in understanding and navigating the nuances of the beauty market and how it is evolving with consumer behavior.
  • Demonstrate an appreciation and broad view of the beauty business, Industry, and consumer environment to anticipate and plan for the future. Identify new areas of opportunity.
  • Strong collaborator across teams and levels within an organization.
  • A strong marketer and business builder with respect for and understanding of the product development and design process.

FAQ

Compensation: $85,000 - $105,000 + Equity. This is a full time, exempt role
. Please note that this range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for the Los Angeles
based position. Goop, in good faith, reasonably expects to pay the position within this salary range. Goop provides the salary range in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws.

The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as:
experience, training, knowledge and skills, and if the location of the job changes.
