Our client, a global leader in social networking and innovative technology, is seeking a Software Engineer to join their groundbreaking team. This role offers a unique chance to work on cutting-edge virtual, augmented, and mixed reality interfaces and hardware subsystems. As a Software Engineer, you'll collaborate closely with a diverse team of researchers and engineers, gaining access to state-of-the-art technology, resources, and testing facilities.

    THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU

    • Analyze, evaluate, design, develop, integrate, debug, and test data analysis tools.
    • Build software, tools, infrastructure, documentation, and systems to enable research scientists to analyze data and iterate on experiments.
    • Educate researchers and team members on software engineering best practices, tips, and techniques.
    • Write clean, readable code, debug complex problems spanning systems, prioritize tasks efficiently, and ensure timely delivery of software solutions.

    KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
    • 5+ years of experience with C++, including C++11 (and up) features and principles.
    • Proven experience shipping one or more products using standard software development toolsets such as source control and continuous integration systems.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Proficiency in Python.
    • Passion for learning and diving into new areas with unfamiliar technologies.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment across multiple scientific and engineering disciplines.
