Key Responsibilities:
Perform in-depth market research to uncover cutting-edge AI trends and technological breakthroughs poised to influence the insurance industry.
Assess investment opportunities in AI-centric startups, venture capital funds, and other relevant entities that resonate with our strategic objectives.
Craft sophisticated financial models to project potential investment returns and risk assessments for AI-focused ventures.
Engage with interdisciplinary teams, including data scientists, actuaries, and underwriters, to evaluate the integration of AI solutions into our operational workflows and product offerings.
Develop and deliver investment proposals and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and the investment committee.Track and report on the performance of AI investments, ensuring stakeholders are well-informed.
Keep a pulse on regulatory changes affecting AI investments and understand their impact on the insurance sector.
Forge and nurture connections with AI enterprises, venture capital groups, and key influencers within the AI ecosystem.
Lead comprehensive due diligence efforts, encompassing financial, legal, and technical evaluations of prospective investment candidates.
Contribute to strategic planning initiatives by offering insights on how AI can streamline operations, elevate customer experiences, and generate new revenue channels.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline; advanced degrees or CFA credentials are advantageous.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in investment analysis, venture capital, private equity, or similar fields.
A strong affinity for and comprehension of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and associated technologies.
Exceptional analytical and quantitative prowess, with a track record in financial modeling and valuation methods.
Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written, with the aptitude to convey intricate ideas to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting and engage with high-level stakeholders.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach and the capacity to juggle multiple projects in tandem.
Proficiency in utilizing financial databases, spreadsheet software, and presentation tools.
