Utilization Review Coordinator

Via Linda Behavioral Hospital is a brand-new behavioral health provider serving Scottsdale and the great Phoenix region. We opened in February 2022 and now offer a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient services. Our modern 120-bed facility offers offer specialized mental health services and substance use treatment for teens, adults and older adults experiencing issues such as depression, anxiety, personality disorders and co-occurring addictions.

The Utilization Review Coordinator reports to the Utilization Review Director.

UR Coordinators provide an ongoing, systematic process for the assessment of the necessity and efficiency of the use of Via Linda Behavioral Hospital services.

Interface with managed care organizations, external reviewers, and other payors for initial reviews, continued stay reviews and discharge planning. Assists in the promotion and maintenance of high quality patient care through the review and evaluation of clinical practices.


Qualifications:

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Services, Human Development, Nursing, Business, or related field required. Master's degree and registered nurse licensure or licensed as an LMSW, LCSW, LPC, MFT or similar AZ Board of Behavioral Health licensure preferred.
  • One yearexperience in a behavioral health or medical inpatient facility serving patients, and special knowledge of the UM department.

Must have or be able to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
