):

The Marketing Specialist will play an important role in the future growth of the Y by bridging the gap between developing and executing organizational marketing strategies at the center level and elevating local marketing insights and opportunities to the Association Office.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across the association to create seamless, integrated journeys across audiences and channels that drive meaningful engagements and accelerate sales opportunities.

The Marketing Specialist will leverage research trends, along with technical expertise and understanding of the customer journey to raise awareness, drive demand, and take the Greater Austin YMCA's marketing strategy to the next level.


How You Will Make an Impact (Essential Functions)

Marketing Strategy and Campaign Management

  • Develop, manage, execute, support and analyze innovative marketing plans that raise the profile of the Greater Austin YMCA, generate demand, and demonstrate the organization's focus on strengthening community.
  • Drive improvement of program effectiveness through advanced audience segmentation, journey mapping, A/B testing, and deliverability.
  • Lead center event marketing campaigns, community outreach, and grassroots initiatives.
  • Monitor project/campaign status, communicate clearly & effectively, assign resources, and ensure that projects are completed on time.
  • Foster collaboration by leading discussions and making wellinformed decisions together when timelines require adjustment.
  • Champion the brand by bringing to life the mission/impact stories of the center and sharing them with the Association office.
  • Lead customization of flyers and other communications tools used by centers. Help train centers on new asset creation tool, Marq.
  • Meet ongoingly with the center staff within assigned centers. Spend approximately 50% of the work week at center locations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Integration

  • Partner across departments to amplify the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, data integrity management, and new technology integrations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external partners.

Performance Analysis and Reporting

  • Prepare reports for discussion and analysis of key marketing and business performance indicators and partner with marketing leadership to identify advanced reporting needs and analyze performance trends, CX insights, and best practices to provide optimization recommendations.
  • Understand marketing best practices and stay ahead of global industry trends.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

What You Bring to the Community Enterprise

  • A bachelor's degree or a blend of education, professional experience, and training.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience with a background in communications or marketing.
  • Understanding of content creation, graphics, and photography; executing small projects and making edits; and social media experience.
  • Consumer insights/analytics experience with the ability to concisely deliver insights around marketplace opportunities and needs.
  • Knowledge of tools, e.g., Drupal, WordPress, Canva, Marq, or ability to demonstrate proficiency following training.
  • Event management experience is a plus.
  • Graphic design experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
