Responsibilities & Duties- (SF Valley/Ventura/Santa Barbara/San Diego/San Luis Obispo Territory) Oversee food safety and sanitation procedures for restaurants
- Conduct routine inspections of multiunit locations to determine compliance with store requirements as well as county regulations
- Educate, coach and train staff during routine visits on food safety, internal policies, and overall employee procedures
- Lead Food Safety Training/Discussion sessions with owners and employees
- Generate food safety inspection reports to be sent to owners and managers
- Report writing outlining findings during audit
- BA/BS Degree in Biology, Food Science, Environmental Health, Microbiology, or related field highly preferred
- A minimum of one year of food safety experience
- Knowledge in California Retail Food Code
- Experience in retail food service is a plus
- Must have a valid driver's license and maintain an excellent Motor Vehicle Record
- Must have own vehicle
- Ability to manage time efficiently and execute projects diligently
- Must have EXCELLENT oral and written communication skills; be able to converse calmly and effectively during crisis situations
- Fluent in Spanish is a plus
