As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $130, $140, This pay scale takes into account a wide range of business factors and may change over time.
Responsibilities:
The Principal Leader of Maintenance plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and integrity of food production processes while maximizing equipment reliability and efficiency.
By embracing Growing Excellence, World-Class Maintenance, and servant leadership principles, along with a commitment to safety and food safety standards, the Principal Leader of Maintenance leads the maintenance team to achieve the highest performance and regulatory compliance standards.
- Implement and uphold a culture of Growing Excellence and World-Class Maintenance within the maintenance department.
- Set clear expectations for maintenance activities, emphasizing safety, quality, and adherence to food safety standards and GMP regulations.
- Lead by example, demonstrating servant leadership principles to support and empower the maintenance team.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive Skill Matrix to assess team competencies and identify areas for improvement.
- Foster a fixforever mentality within the team, emphasizing rootcause analysis and permanent solutions to equipment issues.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including workplace safety regulations and food safety standards.
- Collaborate with quality assurance and production departments to maintain GMP compliance and minimize risk of food contamination.
- Utilize proactive and predictive maintenance tools and techniques to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Provide coaching and skill development opportunities to enhance the technical capabilities of maintenance team members.
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure all maintenance personnel are proficient in food safety practices and GMP requirements.
- Analyze maintenance data and performance metrics to identify trends, improve processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and manage maintenance budgets, ensuring costeffective resource allocation while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (preferred)

Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in the food industry or a similar regulated environment

Strong understanding of Growing Excellence, World-Class Maintenance, and servant leadership principles

Thorough knowledge of food safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

Experience with safety management systems and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment

Proficiency in implementing and utilizing maintenance management software systems
:

Demonstrated ability to coach and develop maintenance team members to achieve optimal performance
:

Familiarity with proactive and predictive maintenance tools such as CMMS, vibration analysis, and infrared thermography
:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, focusing on continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
