Position Overview:


The Shell Marketing Coordinator works closely with the multiple stakeholders across Motiva & Shell Oil Products US (SOPUS) and represents Motiva on multiple workstreams with the Brand & Communications team, Loyalty team, Fuels team, External Relations, Operations, and they will be the main contact for Motiva's advertising agency.

This role works closely with the Marketing Manager and leadership team on concepting & coordination of high-end events for both internal and external stakeholders throughout the year.


Responsibilities:


  • Carry the authority and responsibility of being Motiva's voice in the room to negotiate, identify solutions and deliver results across multiple stakeholders and workstreams, noted above.
  • Coordinate and facilitate monthly Territory Manager call with Sales that involves internal & external presenters, internal & external communications around programs mentioned above, helps facilitate/create content & present at brand meeting presentations, tradeshows and Wholesaler onboarding & sales training sessions. This includes scheduling/facilitating meetings, managing communications and progress on deliverables, logistics, etc.
  • Focal point for execution of national promotions & lead for strategy, execution & cost management for local promotions. Work with 3rd party vendors (including advertising, event and sports marketing agencies), Shell Brand & Communications, and Motiva legal to ensure creative is aligned to growth strategy, brand standards, and meets legal requirements.
  • Manages all logistics including planning, communications, budget management & internal/external stakeholder management regarding events, some of which happen concurrently
  • Conducts market/competitive research around brands and marketing programs mentioned above

Experience and Qualifications Required:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, Marketing or related field. Pertinent experience at the professional level may be substituted for the education requirement on a yearforyear basis.
  • 5+ years of relevant marketing and advertising experience
  • 3+ years of advertising experience working at an agency or working with advertising agencies on past initiatives
  • Strong project management experience, including managing vendor relationships with multiple moving parts
  • Strong written & oral communication skills as well as presentation skills
  • Strong Excel & reporting capability
  • An eye for detail with an appetite for accuracy
  • Ability to coordinate between Motiva, Shell & vendor partners among colleagues as well as with the Sales team and their Wholesalers
  • Ability to think strategically, deliver tactically and implement tools procedures to enable field execution of initiatives on time and in budget
  • Capable of influencing stakeholders
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time for customer and vendor engagements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oil and gas experience a plus
  • Field experience is a plus
  • Experience & knowledge around Shellbranded consumer programs
  • PowerBI experience
