Transportation Coordinator Summary
Monday - Friday | 1st shift

Working in a warehouse environment, the Transportation Coordinator is responsible for creating and updating daily routes, while monitoring the truck and trailer fleet for the Northern Region.

Transportation Coordinator Qualifications

3 years' experience in truck routing, scheduling, and mapping in a redistribution environment
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Above average oral and written communication skills
Intermediate level Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook skills
Fundamental comprehension of warehouse logistics

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business
Experience with Eclipse Warehouse Management System

Transportation Coordinator Duties

Monitors equipment utilization for trucks
Occasional travel to offsite training and company meetings
Verifies and report capacity and efficiency of routes
Maximizes and designs route efficiencies by tracking driver routes for extra stops/length of stops, etc.
Investigates and initializes optimal routing solutions
Oversee queues in Eclipse and volume amounts of routes
Schedules delivery appointments and coordinates vendor pickups
Makes Geocoding updates in system for routes
Facilitates transportation safety meetings and training on a quarterly basis

Maintains Descartes

Fleet center and WGLN
Plans and schedules services as need with Fleet center and maintain service portal
Effectively communicates with internal departments and external vendors or clients
Other duties as assigned
