GENERAL SUMMARY:

Plan, organize, lead, and participate in operations and activities of a warehouse; train, supervise and direct warehouse support staff.

Reports to the Chief Operating Officer.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Oversee OSHA compliance and implement best practices to ensure employee safety.
  • Manage shipping team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and working with team members to maximize efficiency and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Oversees all receiving, warehousing, and internal distribution operations by implementing work standards through scalable and repeatable processes while maximizing space utilization.
  • Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with executive management and other team leads
  • Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to improve employees
  • Communicate with other departments to ensure products are shipped promptly
  • Responsible for sustaining maintenance, preventative maintenance, equipment failure recovery and consumables replenishment processes within the mail order pharmacy environment.
  • Perform automation equipment maintenance and repairs per specified requirements. Equipment components include conveyors, motors, pill counting and dispensing systems, semiautomated packing machines, and ancillary process equipment such as document printers, label printers, scanners, readers, pneumatics, and electrical components.
  • Manage highly automated distribution equipment, including sorters, shuttles, and conveyance systems.
  • Provide directions for shifting operational flow and flex resources to consistently achieve requirements in all areas at the lowest cost and best possible service levels.
  • Drive efficiency in operations by continuously improving current processes and practices.
  • Work with Operations to make recommendations and implement process improvements in overall warehouse structure and organization.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Education/Training/Physical Demands:

  • Bachelor's degree or prior experience preferred
  • Proficient Computer Skills, especially in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Prior knowledge of different types of conveyors, including Hytrol, Bosch, Span Tech, FlexLink, Nedco, and Dorner a plus
  • Ability to use a forklift, hand jack, and other equipment necessary to relocate heavy objects
  • Light lifting may be required pounds

Experience:


  • Familiar with highvolume mailorder pharmacy and general order fulfillment process equipment
  • Experience in an automated environment
