Job Summary:


Key Responsibilities:

Central Supply Duties:


  • Manage the ordering, receiving, storage, and distribution of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as necessary to avoid shortages.
  • Inspect incoming supplies for quality and accuracy, and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain clean and organized storage areas.

Medical Records Duties:


  • Accurately file, retrieve, and manage patient medical records.
  • Ensure all medical records are uptodate, properly documented, and securely stored.
  • Assist healthcare providers with accessing and updating patient records.
  • Comply with HIPAA and other relevant regulations regarding patient information.

General Administrative Tasks:


  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate logs and records.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports related to supply inventory and medical records.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and communication.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a medical records or central supply role is an advantage.

Skills and Abilities:


  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office and healthcare management systems.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to lift and move medical supplies and equipment (up to [weight limit] pounds).
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and manual dexterity.

Work Environment:


  • Work is performed in a clinical environment with exposure to medical supplies and patient records.
  • May require occasional evening or weekend shifts depending on organizational needs.
