Summary:

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Manager will plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of the production department of the Houston plant.


Job Type:
Full-time, permanent (Crosby, TX)


Schedule: 12-hour shift 7AM-7PM or 7 PM-7AM


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Lead a team of operators in the achievement of production targets.
  • Manage the performance of their team members and offer the necessary coaching and feedback to promote positive employee behavior and constructive development.
  • Develop and implement the necessary operational systems to support reliable, efficient, and costeffective operations.

Such systems include but not limited to:
Operator and Production Scheduling, Overtime Scheduling, Continuous Improvement projects, Production Reporting, Inventory Tracking & Control, 5S and Visual Factory, etc;

  • Manage the Health and Safety program on their assigned shift and ensure that unsafe conditions and unsafe behaviors are quickly addressed.
  • Monitor housekeeping and safety issues and react accordingly.
  • Support the development of a quality management systems and manage the quality of the products manufactured on their shift.
  • Facilitate the communication process on their shift including the establishment of beginning of shift team huddles.
  • Manage all shipping and inventory management activities on their shift in a timely and customercentric fashion.
  • Plan, organize, communicate, and attend meetings (team and staff meetings)
  • Perform other duties as required.

Experience:


  • Associate degree in operation management, engineering, or a related field. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in operations management within a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control methodologies, and supply chain management.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Analytical mindset and problemsolving abilities to identify operational bottlenecks and implement effective solutions.
  • Proficient in using relevant software and tools for data analysis, production planning, and inventory management.
  • Outstanding communication skills to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams, stakeholders, and suppliers.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance

Qualifications:


  • A successful track record in implementing and managing positive change.
  • Effective leadership and people skills are required.
  • Handson technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills required.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills are essential as is organizational skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Applications skills especially in MS Excel required.
  • Ability to work well with individuals from different backgrounds and skills at various levels in the organization.
  • Effective time management, job task planning and organizing.
  • Critical thinker and analytical decision maker who is also a creative, solutionoriented individual who can think out of the box and thrives in an innovative environment.
  • Exhibits strong initiative, needs little to no supervision and direction, highly organized and takes pride in their work.
  • Ability to always maintain a professional disposition, especially when under pressure.

Physical Requirements:


  • May be required to bend, squat, kneel, or stand for long periods.
  • May be required to lift up to 25 lbs.
