Summary:

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Manager will plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of the production department of the Houston plant.

Job Type:
Full-time, permanent (Crosby, TX)

Schedule: 12-hour shift 7AM-7PM or 7 PM-7AM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead a team of operators in the achievement of production targets.
Manage the performance of their team members and offer the necessary coaching and feedback to promote positive employee behavior and constructive development.
Develop and implement the necessary operational systems to support reliable, efficient, and costeffective operations.

Such systems include but not limited to:
Operator and Production Scheduling, Overtime Scheduling, Continuous Improvement projects, Production Reporting, Inventory Tracking & Control, 5S and Visual Factory, etc;

Manage the Health and Safety program on their assigned shift and ensure that unsafe conditions and unsafe behaviors are quickly addressed.
Monitor housekeeping and safety issues and react accordingly.
Support the development of a quality management systems and manage the quality of the products manufactured on their shift.
Facilitate the communication process on their shift including the establishment of beginning of shift team huddles.
Manage all shipping and inventory management activities on their shift in a timely and customercentric fashion.
Plan, organize, communicate, and attend meetings (team and staff meetings)
Perform other duties as required.

Experience:

Associate degree in operation management, engineering, or a related field. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
Proven experience (5+ years) in operations management within a production or manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control methodologies, and supply chain management.
Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
Analytical mindset and problemsolving abilities to identify operational bottlenecks and implement effective solutions.
Proficient in using relevant software and tools for data analysis, production planning, and inventory management.
Outstanding communication skills to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams, stakeholders, and suppliers.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance

Qualifications:

A successful track record in implementing and managing positive change.
Effective leadership and people skills are required.
Handson technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills required.
Superior communication and interpersonal skills are essential as is organizational skills.
Intermediate to advanced MS Applications skills especially in MS Excel required.
Ability to work well with individuals from different backgrounds and skills at various levels in the organization.
Effective time management, job task planning and organizing.
Critical thinker and analytical decision maker who is also a creative, solutionoriented individual who can think out of the box and thrives in an innovative environment.
Exhibits strong initiative, needs little to no supervision and direction, highly organized and takes pride in their work.
Ability to always maintain a professional disposition, especially when under pressure.

Physical Requirements:

May be required to bend, squat, kneel, or stand for long periods.
May be required to lift up to 25 lbs.
