EMC Mechanical Services is searching for a Service Coordinator to join our team The Service Coordinatoris responsible for the clear and efficient communication with technicians, department managers, and other team members in order to ensure EMC's customers receive the highest quality service possible.

This includes scheduling, managing a significant call volume, and making decisions independently while maintaining a positive customer service mentality.

What You'll Do:


  • Operate a multiline phone system and Online Messaging system in order to communicate withinternal and external customersregarding job orders and needs.
  • Maintain a "Big Picture" view of calendar regarding technician scheduling in order to assign real time and future technician jobs.
  • Always aware of the Central Virginia territory and changes that may occur: IE. Directions, zip codes, local terminology, additional routes, etc. which may influence the timeliness of a Technician's response time.
  • Continually exhibit a positive, customer service mentality with both internal and external customers.
  • Remain confident in their ability to make the correct decision when determining Technician call order and stops.
  • Positively contribute to the culture and overall success of the company and department.
  • Communicate with technicians regularly to keep on track with the progress of the job.
  • Communicate with customers to address their needs and make sure that all issues are addressed expeditiously and professionally.

What You'll Bring:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience with service dispatch is beneficial.
  • Previous exposure to the plumbing or HVAC trades or a similar business is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced work environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn utilized software and processes.
  • Team player with a desire to contribute to the overall success of the company.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; Including excellent telephone Skills.
  • Experience with a multiline telephone system.
  • Fluent Englishspeaking and writing skills.
  • Upbeat personality with a warm and friendly demeanor.
  • Organized, detail oriented, able to handle a variety of tasks in a simultaneous manner.
  • Must be an independent thinker "Go Getter" mentality exhibiting Initiative to make decisions and trust your instincts.
