    Description

    Our client is a pioneer within the programmable RNA medicine space and are looking for an expert of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and RNA Biology to help shift the paradigm of novel drug development. This team is well funded and is at the heart of biotech, located in the heart of Cambridge.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead Machine Learning and AI operation efforts for the organization
    • Provide strategic direction for ML/AI strategy and data generation for both RNA and Nanoparticle deployment
    • Design and implement state of the art Machine Learning models to design RNA and nanoparticle constructs with novel therapeutic properties
    • Provide mentorship to junior ML/AI scientists and engineers

    Qualifications:

    • PhD in applied mathematics, computer science, physics or other quantitative disciplines with a strong focus on machine learning and deep learning
    • Proven deliverables and impact during a 10+ year career post-degree
    • Strong background in supervised, unsupervised, representation and reinforcement learning
    • Demonstrated mastery of a broad array of deep learning architectures with emphasis on transformer-based models and graph neural network architectures (transformer-VAEs, BERT, GPT, T5, Perceiver, GCN, GAT, MPNNs)
    • Strong experience and knowhow to develop, innovate and leverage deep generative machine learning models for protein, RNA or small molecules therapeutics (representative examples include ProtVAE, MolMIM, MolGPT)
    • Deep expertise in Pytorch, and libraries such as Sklearn and Hugging Face
