    Engineering Technician
    SUMMARY OF ROLE
    COMPENSATION: $55k - $75k
    We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Engineering Technican to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling mechanical equipment like BiB fillers and components with precision, ensuring all parts meet quality standards and specifications. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read technical drawings, and the capacity to work efficiently both independently and within a team.
    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    As an at-will employer, SIG reserves the right to add to or modify this list to the extent it deems necessary.
    • Assemble mechanical equipment, machinery, and components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and assembly instructions.
    • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals to ensure accurate assembly and proper fitment of parts.
    • Operate hand tools, power tools, and assembly machinery safely and effectively.
    • Perform inspections and quality checks throughout the assembly process to ensure adherence to company and safety standards
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
    • Collaborate with engineers and production staff to improve assembly processes and product quality.
    • Document assembly activities, including time spent, materials used, and any issues encountered.
    • Follow company safety protocols and participate in ongoing safety training.
    YOU BRING THESE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
    • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in mechanical assembly or related field preferred.
    • Proven experience in mechanical assembly or a similar role within manufacturing or industrial settings.
    • Attention to detail and precision in assembly work.
    • Problem-solving skills with a focus on troubleshooting mechanical issues.
    • Time management and organizational skills to meet production deadlines.
    • Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures.
    • Commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
    • Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools and techniques.
