This job was posted by the City of Naperville for an Engineering Technician position. The role involves performing various technical, analytical and administrative tasks to support projects and programs in the engineering division and operational sections.The job requires conducting field surveys using various tools and methods to collect and record data; investigating inquiries from the general public regarding engineering projects;
preparing files of maps plans contracts engineering studies recommendations reports;
entering maintaining data in electronic files including GIS data; reviewing documents submitted by vendors clients permit applicants for completeness accuracy alerting supervisor to discrepancies;
preparing engineering drawings manually or CAD applications may prepare basic work orders cost estimates assist performing site inspections ensuring contract compliance performs all other duties assigned.
Two years related college post-high school vocational education one to three years experience related field equivalent combinations education experience substituted valid State Illinois Drivers License preferred Associates Degree related field additional information provided below
