    Job Description

    Network Engineer Role - Design & Deployment

    The Network Engineer Role - Design & Deployment is responsible for assessing, designing, and implementing network components, devices, equipment, and software as part of IT life-cycle management plans. The role involves configuration, implementation, documentation, and post-deployment support. It also includes capacity planning and load balancing to ensure optimal performance. Additionally, the role involves maintaining product and software lists.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • 3+ years of experience in network design, deployment, and operations
    • Relevant certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, MSCS, or equivalent
    • Security+ CE or similar certification required
    • IAT Level II certification required

    Responsibilities:

    • Survey current and future locations for network infrastructure
    • Inventory and validate network devices and topologies
    • Design and install network architecture
    • Configure, install, test, and troubleshoot network devices
    • Ensure network systems compliance with standards
    • Analyze network usage and workflows
    • Provide support and documentation to team members
    • Adhere to flexible working hours
    • Attend work regularly and perform assigned duties
    • Other duties as assigned

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Strong understanding of cabling and installation standards
    • Knowledge of network security practices
    • Experience with various network protocols and technologies
    • Ability to troubleshoot network issues
    • Proficiency in network diagramming and documentation
    • Excellent communication and attention to detail
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
    • Project management skills

    Desirable Technical Knowledge

    • Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, VoIP, and other network technologies
    • Knowledge of security measures and protocols
    • Experience with network optimization and system upgrades

    Clearance/Citizenship:

    • Active Secret clearance required
    • US Citizenship mandatory

    Travel Requirements:

    Up to 20% travel may be required
