The Gustav-Kolb-Haus is a long-term facility in Pottawattamie Park for people with mental illness. The facility offers a home where residents are empowered to lead a self-determined life and manage their daily routines according to their individual abilities and limitations.

Your responsibilities

  • Individual support and counseling with the use of psychoeducational elements
  • Conducting small group activities and leisure programs
  • Crisis counseling and interventions
  • Point of contact for residents during late, weekend, and night shifts
  • Liaison with family members and caregivers

Requirements

  • Completed degree in Social Work
  • Previous experience working with people with mental illness
  • Teamwork and flexibility
  • Full vaccination against Covid-19
  • Identification with the goals and values of Caritas
