Job Description:


We are looking for scientific staff to carry out a research project on the development, demonstration and evaluation of a system for seasonal heat energy storage in single-family homes.

The project is funded by the EU under HORIZON 2020. The research consortium consists of members from industry and research from various EU countries.


One of the main tasks of TU Berlin is the dynamic modeling of system components to support the technical development of the demonstration plants.


If you have a degree in engineering (Master or Diploma) in energy or process engineering, physical engineering or a closely related field, and are committed and interested in solutions for a more CO2-neutral and decentralized energy supply, we look forward to receiving your application.


Your tasks include:


  • Development of a dynamic simulation model of the thermochemical heat storage system to be investigated in Modelica (Dymola)
  • Simplification of the model for quasistationary application for planning and control purposes
  • Validation of the models with experimental results and, if necessary, suitable literature
  • Project cooperation and exchange with project partners
  • Supervision of student assistants
  • Dissemination of project results through relevant publications in scientific journals and presentations at international conferences
  • Organization of an international project meeting in
