The Human Resources Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the HR department by performing various administrative tasks and ensuring efficient operations.

- Coordinate new hire onboarding, process background checks, issue drug test paperwork and ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately.
- Assist employees with benefit enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
- Records/enters all nondirect labor hours in the ERP system as well as audit direct timecard entry for union employees: Making the appropriate corrections &/or adjustments,
- Balance daily timecard entries and weekly payroll reports, Prepares and balance totals for the varies weekly union payroll reports.
- Process payroll for union employees through ADP, Account for all checks and vouchers (direct deposits) issued with each payroll, sort alphabetically in department order.
- Prepares and issues daily timecards for all union employees, sorting by dates, departments and delivering to the appropriate supervisor (monthly).
- Maintain employee attendance records.
- Maintain temporary employee timesheet collection, transmitting to the appropriate agency, matching invoices, and filing.
- General office duties (filing, scanning, copying, shredding, etc).
- Assist in organizing employee relations events as needed (Company lunches, Vendor meetings, etc).
- Record and maintain all employee training records.
- Performs other duties as assigned by HR Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 12 years of previous experience in an HR administrative role.
- Experience processing payroll.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now is desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio) and experience with ERP systems is desirable.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Position is full time onsite - no remote work
Pay:
$ $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
