Job Description
The Director, Strategic Marketing develops, implements and measures strategic marketing programs and digital communications programs that advance Spencer Health Solutions, Inc.'s industry leadership and effectively represent the company's products and services to customers and drives sales.
The Director, Strategic Marketing will need to take a quantitative approach to understand and optimize campaigns, strategies and markets to maximize business performance and drive future growth.
This position works with teams in the US and EU to direct strategic marketing, manage multiple parallel communication programs and campaigns, and optimize digital presence to customers and partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop annual multi-channel marketing strategy and tactical plans to support SHS's corporate strategy and objectives
Analyze and quantify the performance of parallel and successive campaigns to both optimize campaign success and advise future strategies.
Use quantitative tactics to understand markets, identify best market segmentation approaches to drive business growth, and develop go-to-marketing strategies.
Collaborate with sales, marketing and operations to create innovative and compelling campaigns to drive awareness and adoption of SHS's technology, targeting biopharma companies, healthcare providers and patients
Development of thought leadership and presentation materials and ability to represent Spencer Health Solutions at conferences/round tables/symposiums
Quantify, track, analyze and report marketing KPIs related to digital campaign performance and effectiveness. Dynamically optimize both within and between campaigns for best overall performance.
Enable the sales team by leading the creation of compelling messages, easy-to-use sales tools, and effective slide decks
Drive omni-channel marketing campaigns with competing deadlines, coordinating tasks across teams and vendors while ensuring a high level of quality and meeting deadlines.
Develop lead generation strategies using multiple parallel methods, including email, social media, PR and MR.Evaluating the effectiveness of marketing campaigns by tracking metrics such as ROI and conversion rates
Manage and continually update multiple organization websites, including optimizing organic search engine performance and goal-setting based on keyword SEO and conversion, tracking and reporting main KPIs.
Provide leadership and focus for marketing team regarding communication functions, program alignment, and campaign activities and outcomesServe as team subject matter expert in CRM reporting; track and report marketing metrics using HubSpot or other CRM, including the development of views, reports and dashboards.
Qualifications8+ years of experience in marketing and brand management with at least three (3) years in a healthcare, CRO or pharmaceutical environment
BS/BA or equivalent work experience, MBA preferred.
Strong knowledge of regulatory, scientific, technical and clinical expertise in clinical trials and/or commercial drug marketing, including recent trends in industry topics (e.g. diversity, HEOR, decentralization, etc.)
Experience with data-driven digital marketing campaign optimization, quantification and reporting.
In-depth knowledge of the various paid marketing channels and technologies, including paid search, retargeting, social network advertising, content distribution and placement networks.
Experience managing and executing on multiple marketing communications projects from development of communications plan with objectives, goals, metrics and timelines.
Demonstrated results introducing new technologies or technological features into competitive markets and generating sales opportunities.Experience in management of teams, effectively communicating, prioritization and priority tracking
Ability to perform up to 35% overnight business travel (domestic and/or international)
Experience working in a regulated environment
Ability to read, understand, and execute job functions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures
