    Description
    Purpose Plans and designs manufacturing equipment, tooling and processes for a production facility. Analyzes assembly, fabrication, machining, and other processes. Maximizes efficiency by optimization of layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization. Determines the parts, equipment, tools, and processes needed to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications.     Ensure manufacturability of engineering designs and engineering changesCoordinate manufacturing launch for new and revised products across facilitiesIdentify, qualify, and develop new equipment suppliers.

    Build relationships to ensure thorough understanding and consistent execution of standardsMaintain and ensure supplier compliance to equipment standards by creating technical specifications and efficient project management through timely design reviews, validation, and installation.

    Provide equipment cost estimating for new program customer RFQ'sSupport internal and external teams during the concept development process for the industrialization of customer projects Conduct time and method studies establishing time standards for manufacturing operations.

    Develop standards for plant layouts, work instructions, process flow layout, set-up procedures while adhering to safety, quality and productivity procedures and policies.

    Conduct line balancing studies, process simulations and material flow studies to achieve optimum balance between man and machine Develop and manage process FMEA's and other process documentation across all global locations.

    Support production teams in ensuring project budgets, quality goals and production targets are metRefurbish and repurpose equipment based on global program launches and production needs.

    Ensure global compliance with IATF16949 and other quality, environmental, manufacturing and customer standard requirements.
    Perform other duties as assigned.
    QualificationsRequired Education & ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.

    Master's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Business with a focus in Operations Management highly preferred.5+ years of work experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.

    Metals processing experience such as welding, riveting, and fastening.
    Automotive seating structures experience preferred.
