As a world leader in the design and manufacturing industry, Active Dynamics is seeking an eager and enthusiastic Manufacturing Engineer to join our successful Novi team immediately.

We are looking for a talented individual with solid professional skills in manufacturing.

What you will be doing:

Implements and maintains procedures relating to efficient manufacturing practicesEvaluate existing and new manufacturing processes, workflows, facility layouts & equipment, based on quality criteria, such as efficiency and speed, to optimize performanceEnsure manufacturing processes comply with safety & environmental regulationsDeveloping effective automated and non-automated systemsTest new and existing production procedures through engineering buildsOrganize and manage manufacturing workflows and resourcesResolve issues and delays in productionRoot-cause corrective actions (customer and internally initiated)Manage and conduct employee training for productivity improvement projects and NPI launchesIdentify value-added and non-value-added activities to solve process challengesIn-depth understanding of lean manufacturing principlesEstablish effective and efficient work sequencesDrives and creates continuous improvement activitiesSolve existing manufacturing problemsDevelops, prepares, and/or maintains documentation pertaining to manufacturing processes, systems operation, and other technical processesDevelops and drives implementation of best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.

Including, but not limited to:

scrap reductioncycle time reductiondowntime reduction FPY increaseOEE increase Gathers and collects data from production lines (PPH, labor, material) to aid in decision making and process improvement effort prioritizationSupports quality initiatives and work with team to develop the necessary poke yokes to improve qualityOther duties as specified by your ManagerWhat you bring along:Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent work experienceMinimum five years related experience in manufacturingAbility to collaborate with program managers, manufacturing leads, and functional leadsStrong analytical skillsExcellent problem-solving skillsRelevant technological knowledgeStrong written and verbal communication skillsUnderstanding of drawing requirements and bill of materialsOther details:Our team includes members with a wide diversity of cultural and technical backgrounds, ages, and experiences.
