Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Owner Operators to join our team. This role involves operating various types of commercial trucks and equipment to transport freight efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have experience with different trailer types, route driving, and load management, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining safety standards. This position offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, supporting the company's logistics and distribution operations.
Duties
- Safely operate trucks including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialized equipment.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate tools such as forklifts when necessary.
- Execute route driving assignments efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs of hours, mileage, and cargo documentation in accordance with company policies.
- Assist with securing loads for transport to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
- Follow delivery schedules and communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery status or delays.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles and report any issues promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery route management and freight handling.
- Familiarity with operating various truck types such as tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds.
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles confidently.
- Experience with load & unload operations using forklifts or manual methods.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial driving and freight transportation.
- Strong route planning skills to optimize delivery times efficiently.
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy loads when necessary. This role is ideal for experienced drivers seeking a professional environment where safety, efficiency, and reliability are prioritized. Candidates should possess a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with relevant endorsements for the types of vehicles operated.
