Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and responsible Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver - Class B to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our delivery operations, ensuring timely and safe transportation of freight across various routes. Your expertise in driving a variety of trucks, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks, will be essential to maintaining our high standards of service. Duties
- Safely operate a Class B commercial vehicle, including manual transmission trucks and tractor-trailers, adhering strictly to all safety regulations and traffic laws
- Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks when necessary
- Transport goods across designated routes, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the integrity of refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, or other specialized trailers
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and incident reports for every trip
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
- Assist with securing loads on flatbeds or tankers to prevent shifting during transit and ensure cargo safety
Experience
- Valid Class B CDL with a clean driving record and experience operating manual transmission trucks
- Proven delivery driver experience with knowledge of route driving and freight handling
- Hands-on experience with concrete trucks dump trucks, or roll-off trucks preferred
- Ability to load & unload freight using forklifts or other equipment safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with trucking safety protocols and DOT regulations for commercial driving
- Prior experience in truck driving within diverse environments such as urban or rural routes is highly desirable
- Strong physical stamina for loading/unloading cargo and performing vehicle inspections regularly
