Description

Provides customer service as defined by the employer within the scope of the position and within company

policy.

Load product onto sixwheelers or use pallet jack to move merchandise.
Push loaded sixwheeler to appropriate area.
Open cases and carry product to display area.
Replace stock on shelves.
Face and straighten up shelves.
Return excess stock to backroom and inventory.
Maintain backroom organization.
Rotate product and pull out of date product from shelves.
May write grocery orders and do Backroom Inventory (BRI).
Operate electronic scanner cash register to total customers' final bill.
Receive payment for customer purchase and count back correct change.
Bag groceries in plastic, canvas, or paper bags. Lift bags into grocery cart. Offer customer assistance with carry

out and perform that if a Courtesy Clerk is not available.

Maintain cleanliness of store.
Adheres to Federal, State, local laws. Adheres to safety policies and store rules.
Other duties as assigned.

Requires strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain professional

demeanor in regards to customers and co-workers.

Ability to frequently reach, lift and maneuver objects of varying dimensions and weights up to

approximately 50 lbs. Bends, stoops and reaches frequently. Pushes and pulls fully loaded hand trucks

and pallet jacks. Performs repetitious arm movement to prepare, package and display products.

Manual dexterity and good eyehand coordination are necessary. Ability to stand for long periods ot time.
Mental alertness is necessary to ensure safe and accurate completion of work activities. Requires

knowledge of basic mathematics and weights and measures. Must have knowledge of product variety,

standards, perishability, product handling, sanitation, labeling and department policies and procedures.

Operates telephone, pallet jack, hand truck, knives, scissors, safety cutters and Sterilox machine. Utilizes

cleaning supplies and equipment.

Operates computer software and electronic ordering devices to order product.
May be required to work nights, weekends and holidays. Scheduled hours will vary. Good attendance is

required.
