BHC - Medical Drive Main - Birmingham AL is needing a Medical Front Office Coordinator to join our team at Birmingham Heart Clinic ASC in Birmingham AL.


Responsibilities

  • Prides high-level customer service in all interactions with internal external customers
  • ,
  • Provides direct professional knowledgeable interactions with patients physicians referral sources treatment team
  • ,
  • Answers calls accurately exceptional customer service times Ensures caller needs met accurate information obtained Ensures calls documented triaged appropriately patient satisfaction safety Acts patient advocate liaisons departments mutual goals Addresses concerns patients provides recovery escalates issues needed Responsible scheduling rescheduling canceling procedure Coordinates paperwork facility Including complete order sets H&Ps imaging Completes preauthorization insurance coverage scheduled procedures Educates patients/responsible parties regarding billing process additional financial responsibilities including information third-party benefits Provides out-pocket cost estimates patients Coordinats financial counseling day surgery Communicate patient referral source clinical staff regarding access authorization obstacles Completes reminder calls to patients for scheduled appointments Counsels patients unpaid bills Obtains future appointments time of service clinic follow-up referrals ancillary services Verifies ensures eligibility pre-registers patients by obtaining demographics third-party coverage(s) encounter Obtains documents required third-party reimbursement Other duties assigned
