    School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Jobs in Manassas, VA

    • Location: Woodbridge/Dumfries Area
    • Hours: 35 hours per week
    • Preferred Education: Degree in Communications/Speech Language or related field
    • Pay: Starting at $28+/hr, negotiable based on schools experience

    Are you passionate about helping children reach their full communication potential? We're seeking dedicated Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to join our team in the Woodbridge/Dumfries area. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students while working alongside experienced professionals.

    Responsibilities:

    • Work under the supervision of licensed Speech Language Pathologists to implement therapy plans and interventions for students with communication disorders.
    • Provide one-on-one or small group therapy sessions to students as directed by the supervising SLP.
    • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' speech and language goals within the classroom environment.
    • Assist in the preparation and organization of therapy materials and resources.
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.

    Qualifications:

    • Degree in Communications, Speech Language, or related field preferred.
    • Certification as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) or willingness to obtain certification.
    • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
    • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
