Travel School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Jobs in Manassas, VA

• Location: Woodbridge/Dumfries Area
• Hours: 35 hours per week
• Preferred Education: Degree in Communications/Speech Language or related field
• Pay: Starting at $28+/hr, negotiable based on schools experience

We're seeking dedicated Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to join our team in the Woodbridge/Dumfries area. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students while working alongside experienced professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Work under the supervision of licensed Speech Language Pathologists to implement therapy plans and interventions for students with communication disorders.
• Provide one-on-one or small group therapy sessions to students as directed by the supervising SLP.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' speech and language goals within the classroom environment.
• Assist in the preparation and organization of therapy materials and resources.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Communications, Speech Language, or related field preferred.
• Certification as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) or willingness to obtain certification.
• Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
