    Insurance Underwriter - Rental Real Estate Risks - Owings Mills, MD

    Successfully manage book of habitational real estate operators' risks business including new and renewal production while contributing to profitability of property business portfolio.

    Activities:

    • ** Underwrite assigned risks handling a mix of Habitational Real Estate Operators & Investors Risks -- Apartment Buildings, Condominiums, Planned Communities, and other Commercially Managed Habitational Property business accounts.
    • ** Communicate risk appetite and value proposition to brokers.
    • ** Negotiate pricing, terms, conditions, and deal structure with brokers.
    • ** Meet underwriting goals such as achieving growth targets and maintaining loss and expense ratios.
    • ** Develop strong long term broker relationships to profitably grow a book of business.
    • ** Manage book of business including setting up broker plans, target account lists, and pipelines, as well as arranging and monitoring plans for poor performing accounts.
    • ** Collaborate with engineering and claims in risk analysis and underwriting decision-making.
