Insurance Underwriter - Investors Real Estate Risks - Towson, MD

Partner with agents to manage and grow a profitable book of Property and Casualty insurance business by appropriately pre-qualifying, selecting, and pricing risks within delegated authority levels.

Accountabilities:

• ** Profitably grow assigned book of business by writing new accounts $25,000 in premium and above and successfully retaining renewal book as part of portfolio strategy.
• ** Assess Habitational Real Estate Operators & Investors Risks -- Apartment Buildings, Condominiums, Planned Communities, and other Commercially Managed Habitational Property businesses applying for insurance by evaluating, selecting, and pricing risks..
• ** Determine premium, policy terms, and conditions.
• ** Create and present proposals to agents to negotiate deals.
• ** Develop and maintain relationships with Agents and Brokers including initial setup of service commitments, and regular agency visits.
• ** Partner with agency plant to successfully pipeline new business opportunities and initiate key renewal conversations.
• ** Identify areas of opportunity for improved growth, profit, and diversification.
• ** Support marketing activities to agents.
