    Maintenance Technician Position in Lansing, MI

    We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our client's team in Lansing, MI. Check out the details below:

    • Job Title: Maintenance Technician
    • Location: Lansing, MI
    • Job Type: Contract

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintaining and supporting equipment in the JIT Production Environment and other necessary areas.
    • Complete assigned tasks, work orders, and PM's safely and efficiently.
    • Make authorized modifications to machinery and equipment to meet production requirements.
    • Repair, rebuild, and troubleshoot equipment to ensure optimal production efficiencies.
    • Record all relevant information electronically in the e-Maintenance System.
    • Participate in required training sessions.
    • Be open to working overtime and different shifts when needed.
    • Continuously enhance skills and knowledge.
    • Perform any additional tasks delegated by the Engineering Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.
    • Have the authority to halt production if safety or quality concerns arise.
    • Maintain valid licenses for operating equipment.
    • Demonstrate excellent attendance and a consistent work history.

    Requirements:

    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, certification preferred.
    • Experience: Journeyman's Card OR 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Previous experience in industrial automotive is advantageous.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Effective presentation, detail orientation, adaptability to change, and teamwork abilities.
    • Aptitude for assessing training options and alternatives.
    • Preferable mechanical, technical, and electrical expertise.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift up to 30lbs.
    • Safely access vertical areas using stairs or a ladder.
    • Comfortably work on a ladder at heights.
    • Use power tools safely.
    • Stand or walk for 6-8 hours to support production.
    • Engage in bending, pushing, and pulling activities as needed.
