Hourly Pay Rate:
$30.37


Plus additional yearly rate increases every June 1st.


Plus $0.40 differential per hour worked for working 3rd shift
or $0.35 differential per hour worked on 2nd shift


Location: 500 Blaine Street, Michigan City, IN 46360

Responsibilities Include:


  • Install, maintain, and repair a variety of machinery and related components and accessories.
  • Perform required electric arc and acetylene welding operations.
  • Test, inspect, layout, maintain, and replace or install all types of pipelines, tubing, fittings & and fixtures in plant maintenance & and construction.
  • Occasionally layout and direct work of helpers, mentor, and assists lowerscale maintenance techs
  • Other duties as assigned

Tools and equipment you will utilize include a variety of power and hand tools, maintenance and measuring devices for machinery. Electric arc welding equipment, acetylene burning & and welding equipment, various types of flux, rods, electrodes, hand tools, clamps, forklifts, etc.


Materials you will work with include various kinds of wood, concrete, grout, fluids, and oils used to install and maintain equipment. Various types of structural steel, iron, and alloy metals. Various types and sizes of pipes, fittings, fixtures and tubing, seals and packing for installing materials and hardware.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


  • Journeymen Card or equivalent amount of experience/education
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Proficient in reading and writing
  • Willingness to work in nonclimate controlled, foundry environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Previous foundry experience a PLUS.
