- Manages the daily work and safety of Delivery supervisors, routing personnel, and other associates.
- Ensures effective management of delivery activities, including adherence to procedures, routes, and providing customer service.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies and keeps logs current and accurate.
- Manages resources within budget, maximizes efficiencies, prepares work schedules, and coordinates repairs.
- Monitors daily activities to meet key performance indicators and satisfaction goals.
- Suggests efficiency ideas, cost reduction measures, and assists with implementation of changes.
- Communicates with Sales and Marketing to resolve customer issues.
- Ensures use and updating of software systems.
- Maintains associate relations, enforces Company policies, and coordinates with Safety department.
- Performs management functions and related duties as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; one to three years related experience; college degree in Business Management or similar major preferred.
- Class A Commercial Driver License preferred.
- Complete a defensive driving program.
- HazMat and Doubles Certification preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to analyze and interpret business documents, write reports, and present information effectively.
- Ability to solve practical problems, work with peers, and manage pressures.
- Demonstrates knowledge of software and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
- Capable of making independent decisions and following procedures.
