Overview:

POSITION SUMMARY:

The person in this role is responsible for delivering food and guest supplies to guests in a friendly, positive, and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

• Creates a welcoming environment to encourage guests to choose Hard Rock Casino Rockford for their gaming needs; actively builds and maintains guest relations and serves as a mentor to team members to ensure exceptional guest service.
• Participates in all aspects of service, including tasks typically handled by support roles such as delivering food from the kitchen to the table, pre-bussing, clearing and resetting tables, pouring water, and serving beverages.
• Briefly describes each dish when serving it to the table, mentioning the dish's name and two key ingredients. Answers any additional questions from guests.
• Delivers superior guest service, enhances interactions with guests and team members, and has the flexibility to handle challenging guests in diverse business situations while collaborating effectively with colleagues.
• Maintains a tidy and clean appearance, performs duties with a focus on sanitation and safety.
• Anticipates, identifies, and meets guest needs.
• Conducts inventories and fulfills other assigned tasks.
• Polishes and stocks clean china, silverware, and glassware received from dishwashers.
• Promptly delivers food from the kitchen to guests as directed by management and chefs.
• Assists with various tasks at special events or parties, including carving, cooking, setting up, or dismantling stations or work areas as needed.
• Prepares and serves nonalcoholic beverages such as soda, juice, tea, coffee, and espresso.
• Performs duties consistently and reliably.
• Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing work and public spaces.
• Other duties as assigned.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Participates in seminars as required.
• Actively engages in training and educational opportunities.
• Occasionally researches products to provide information and educate the service team.

Qualifications:

(Equivalent education and experience may be considered on a year-by-year basis)

This knowledge and skills are typically gained through two years of experience in the food and beverage industry.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc):

• Must acquire and uphold all necessary licenses and certifications as per Federal, State, and Illinois Gaming Commission regulations.
• Must pass a background check successfully.
• Must clear a drug screening.
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
• Must be available to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shifts.
• Must possess and maintain a valid food handlers certification.

• Continue learning about food, wine, beer, spirits, and service techniques.
• Operate various machines and equipment, including beverage dispensers, coffee machines, espresso machines, warmers, dishwashers, and carts.
• Stand throughout an eight-hour shift.

Age Requirements:
18+
