The Housekeeping Department has several position openings for summer, full-time employmentResponsibilities:
30% painting/moving furniture - daily - paint walls both interior and exterior as needed. No ladder work, ground level only. Pouring, stirring, mixing carrying paint. Clean up paint spills.30% floor maintenance - daily
according to established daily practices which include floor scrubbing and mopping, trash removal, stocking paper supplies, surface cleaning and dusting, glass cleaning, sink & toilet bowl sanitation, polishing, etc.
Requirements:
Applicants must be flexible and reliable. Must have a basic understanding of cleaning techniques.
Must be able to perform assigned duties in a reasonable amount of time and with an acceptable degree of quality.
Must be able to follow instructions. Showing initiative is a plus.Must be punctualJob qualifications, special skills, etc:
Must be able to operate basic household cleaning equipment. Must demonstrate ability to paint standard size walls.
Beginning and ending dates of positions:
May through AugustNumber of positions available: 10Number of hours per week: 40 requiredDays and times: Monday - Friday, 7 am to 4 pm (may vary), some weekends
Physical requirements of the job:
Walking, bending, stooping, stretching, reaching, lifting, kneeling is required. Must be able to stand for 2-to-3-hour intervals. Applicants must be able to lift pounds three/four times per hour.
