    Position Summary

    Support the MarComm department's initiatives with the planning, executing, production, and tracking of marketing and communications requests. This will include design; swag ordering and purchasing; project management; photography, and writing. This role will also mentor new student hires in communications best practice and projects.

    The Office of Marketing and Communication and Event Services regularly collaborates across teams within the department, which allows student employees the opportunity to engage in cross-disciplinary work. This internship level position will assist members of the Marcomm and Events Services teams on an as-needed basis. Examples of additional duties as assigned include, but are not limited to:
    • Writing
    • graphic design
    • events
    • Helping with social media
    • graphic design
    • Participating in photo shoots
    SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES
    • Project planning and management for small-medium projects
    • Client Relationship
    • Audience Insight
    • Creative Brainstorm
    • RFP's to vendors
    • Various tasks as assigned
    FUNCTIONAL EXPOSURE
    • Asana
    • You'll have exposure to various on campus partners with their own goals and needs.

    LEARNING OUTCOMES
    Understand and ability to execute the basics of successful project management. Strong communication skills that ensure confidence and full alignment with campus partners. Leverage communication tactics to build strategic plans and/or messaging. Professional problem solving and remove barriers to projects. Be a competitive candidate for high-profile jobs upon graduation. Mentorship and support as you develop your resume and begin your career.

    Required Qualifications
    • Basic understanding of marketing and communications various platforms, channels and best practices.
    • Must have strong organizational skills, as well as attention to detail.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Must be a self-starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
    Any Required Course Work or At least marketing and/or communication courses.
