The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking enthusiastic, passionate education professionals (certified teachers) to serve as Academic Instruction Teachers in our in-person Woodman West Summer Learning Program in the Henrico area.

This part time position starts at the beginning of June and ends in early August. This position starts at $40.86/hour and is up to 25 hours per week.

DUTIES of an Academic Instruction Teacher
Academic Instruction Teachers will work to implement academic programs for elementary school students.

Specific duties include development of relevant lessons; ensuring academic and social development of scholars; identifying scholar needs and creating original instructional plans; monitoring scholars' progress and making adjustments; working to create a safe and productive learning environment; providing mentorship to volunteers; and supervising students in in-person day to day activities as well as special functions, such as field trips.

Applicants should be available Monday - Friday from 8am-1:00pm. Program will run between June 3rd - August 2nd and training will take place before program starts.
