- High school diploma or equivalency, two years of college preferred.
- Work experience with individuals with developmental, emotional and/or physical impairments preferred.
- First Aid and CPR certification required within the first month of employment.
- Working knowledge of training techniques, behavior modification and task analysis.
- Individuals who are fluent in American Sign Language is a plus.
- Skills sufficient to work at community sites with considerable independence and to exercise reasonable judgment in handling challenges until supervisory back up is provided.
- Successful completion of Gesher Rehabilitation Technician training.
- Interpersonal skills sufficient to communicate with participants, employers, public and staff.
- Composition skills sufficient to prepare required reports.
- Driving record must be sufficient to meet safe driving standards as established by Agency insurance carrier.
- Reliable automobile and valid Michigan driver's license.
- Use behavior modification, task analysis, data collection and recording, and related techniques to implement goal-related services.
- Provide regular and systematic feedback to participants regarding their performance. Using reasonable judgment, successfully manage challenges with participants until supervisory consultation/back-up is provided so that participant safety is maintained.
- Utilizing Systematic Instruction to assist participants in independently performing their jobs.
- Review participant progress and work with case management staff to develop and/or revise program goals.
- Modify training techniques and/or the environment to accommodate various participants' disabilities.
- Transport participants as needed using own vehicle.
- Navigate internet browser to complete responsibilities of the position, enter data into Agency DART system.
- Supervise participants and facilitate development/refinement of interpersonal skills during lunch, breaks and transitional periods.
- Moderate noise (i.e., business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic).
- Ability to work in a confined area.
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard, reach, stoop, kneel to install computer equipment.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
- Light to moderate lifting in required.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Provide oversight, coaching and guidance to individuals on community based worksites as well as assessment sites. Facilitator's are responsible for supervising clients and providing feedback on the work performance. Participant's should be provided with direction on how to do the job as effectively and efficiently as possible. It is important that participant payroll is entered daily if needed and that daily documentation is completed within 24 hours of the work shift ending. You will be required to utilize a variety of techniques based on the methods in which the person we are serving learns best.
