We're bringing to the Bay Area the French Fine Pastry experience by creating, producing and sharing our Cakes, Entremets, Viennoiseries and Breads, using the freshest, purest ingredients from France or California mostly.

We are looking for our Boutique on Burlingame avenue - Burlingame - a Boutique Assistant Manager.


Key responsibilities:
The Boutique Assistant Manager will co-manage our Burlingame site and oversee all front activities of the new Boutique.

He/She will be responsible to ensure smooth, high quality service to our customers while co-managing the front of the house team.

The Boutique Assistant Manager will also remains in close daily contact with our Pastry Chefs' team & Operation team. Still in close link with the CEO, the Boutique Assistant Manager reports directly to Maison Alyzee's Burlingame Boutique manager.

  • Co-Lead and comanage a team of 58 employees
  • Execute swiftly with the highest quality standard all operations required to run a Pastry high end store
  • Support the hiring, the team training & new hire on boarding process, weekly schedules, validate vacation plan with the Store Manager.
  • Train the team on all Front of the House processes, including Opening & Closing procedure, regular cleaning and maintenance
  • Provides consistent developmental feedback that empowers and motivates our team and fosters a positive team environment by using effective communication skills. Cultivate a sense of ownership, accountaibility, high level service & attention to details.
  • Plans, delegates and follows up on expected tasks, assignments and activities to ensure expectations and objectives are met
  • Collaborates closely with other Boutiques Retail managers & Pastry/Bakery production team to ensure all necessary parties are aware of daily bakery activities, including schedule, new or special products, special orders,..
  • Maintains a high degree of personal integrity and inspires a team with the same values
  • Resolve and address any Customer incidents
  • Propose areas of improvements
  • Orders and monitors inventory of all Front of the House products for the bakery.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary food service according to Department of Health standards
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

Job Requirements

  • Ability to oversee a high end operating bakery front of the house team, including working weekends and holidays
  • Ability to exert wellpaced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing & walking
  • Attracts, recruits, and retains team members who are guest focused and demonstrate the ability to drive sales
  • Leads, develops and coaches team members to reach their fullest potential and prepare them for the next level of responsibility
  • Evaluates and reacts to performance issues fairly and consistently in accordance with our expected practices
