Job description
The Marketing Strategies Specialist will strengthen the University Medical Center Foundation of El Paso's capacity to communicate impact, engage donors, and sustain philanthropic growth by developing comprehensive communication and marketing systems.
The member will design a structured annual report process that organizes data, stories, and visuals into a polished, donor-ready publication.
They will create a donor-trend tracking system that visualizes giving patterns, demographics, and geographic distribution to inform fundraising strategies and support long-term planning.
To enhance digital outreach, the Specialist will monitor website analytics, evaluate engagement metrics, and recommend improvements that increase visibility and public trust.
The member will also develop standardized print materials—including brochures, flyers, and branded collateral—along with a style guide that ensures consistent messaging across all platforms.
They will establish a brand and public-relations manual outlining tone, style, and media protocols, and create templates for presentations, memoranda, and donor communications that reinforce professionalism and clarity.
The Specialist will build a donor-engagement toolkit with reusable resources such as thank-you letters, recognition protocols, and event communication templates.
To ensure sustainability, the member will conduct staff workshops on all new systems and compile a centralized resource hub containing manuals, templates, workflows, and update instructions.
By strengthening the Foundation's communication infrastructure, the VISTA member will help expand philanthropic support for programs that reduce health disparities and improve access to care for low- to moderate-income residents of El Paso County.

The Specialist will also develop a donor-engagement toolkit with reusable resources that support long-term relationship building.Throughout the year, the member will train staff on all new systems and compile a sustainability plan so the Foundation can maintain and expand these tools after the VISTA term.
