Position Summary:

The Quality Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency in the manufacturing process. This involves developing and executing effective control plans, leveraging problem-solving techniques, and spearheading continuous improvement efforts. The position demands strong analytical capabilities, keen attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with diverse teams to optimize production methods and elevate product standards.

Main Responsibilities:

Establish and execute robust control plans to maintain consistency and quality throughout manufacturing.
Utilize problem-solving methods like root cause analysis and 5s methodology to systematically address manufacturing issues.
Oversee Statistic Process Controls (SPC) and verify Process Capabilities (CPK) using available tools.
Identify non-conformities through multiple tools and provide data-driven improvement strategies.
Interpret Engineering drawings, tolerances, and specs to ensure parts meet required standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop thorough plans for continuous improvement.
Address production or process issues promptly and see change initiatives through completion.
Diagnose quality issues, equipment malfunctions, and process inefficiencies, offering actionable recommendations.
Stay informed on industry best practices and technological advancements for ongoing skill enhancement.
Schedule and lead meetings with relevant departments for effective communication and decision-making.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and optimize processes.
Monitor expenses to ensure projects align with budgetary constraints.
Provide guidance to inspectors, conduct audits to maintain quality standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
Three to five years of manufacturing engineering experience.
Proficiency in CAD software and 2D Drawings.
Advanced skills in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Prior experience in automotive manufacturing is a plus.

Competencies:

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills (knowledge of Six Sigma is advantageous).
Leadership experience is beneficial.
Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:

Sitting at a desk for extended periods.
Some standing and walking on concrete floors.
Bending, stooping, and lifting up to 35 pounds.
Possibility of travel.
