Turning Point is looking to hire a qualified individual to serve as The Living Room (TLR) Coordinator.

The Living Room is a mental health respite program funded by the state of Illinois to provide Crisis Intervention and care to individuals experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis.

The Coordinator is a member of the Management Team and performs a variety of work involving program development, staff supervision, crisis management, community relations, and network/resource building.

The Coordinator works with the Program Director to manage the day-to-day operations of TLR including facilitating weekly team meetings and supervising the RSS and CRSS staff working in TLR.


The Living Room Coordinator works with the Director of The Living Room to coordinate and expand community outreach and support services and activities.

The Coordinator assigns work and manages the schedule for the Living Room and ensures adequate coverage for the program. The Coordinator also tracks program statistics, compiles reports, and ensures that program goals are being met.

The Coordinator supervises TLR RSS and CRSS staff to ensure that agency policies and procedures are adhered to and enforced.

The Coordinator participate in disciplinary actions and make recommendations regarding discipline up to and including termination.


This position requires flexibility with one's work schedule and the coordinator must be available to work during Living Room hours and cover for shift leads if they are unable to work scheduled shifts.

Currently, TLR is open 7 days/week from 12:00p-8:00p. The Living Room is scheduled to expand to a 24/7/365 service ASAP. Late night and/or overnight shifts may be required. The Coordinator also covers on-call shifts as needed. Employees are expected to maintain regular and punctual attendance.


Coordinators have a minimum education requirement of a master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or a related field, and are expected to pursue licensure in an appropriate timeframe.


All staff members are responsible for managing holidays, time off, client engagement, down time, and self-care; and seeking support when needed.

We provide outpatient individual and group therapy for all ages, case management, and a residential living program for a diverse client base.

Pay:
$65, $70,000.00 per year
