Position Summary:


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, and the hours of work are between 8:45 am - 4:30 pm weekdays.

Due to the company's performance schedule, the Costume Shop operates from the third week of July until the end of May yearly.


Position Requirements:


  • Excellent draping, pattern making & cutting skills
  • A knowledge of tailoring, although not essential, is appreciated
  • Excellent organizational & time management skills
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English
  • Advanced sewing skills required for both machine & hand sewing
  • Experience with ballet costumes, tutus, & stretch fabric is highly desired
  • Knowledge & experience with women's costumes/clothes
  • At least 5 years professional costume shop experience required
  • Must complete work in a time sensitive manner
  • Must be able to work onsite 35 hours per week
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and lift a minimum of 20 lbs.
  • Proficiency in Polish and/or Russian is helpful
