    Summary:


    The Vallejo Times Herald is seeking an outside sales Account Executive to create robust multi-media advertising campaigns for local and regional business.


    What you will do:
    Proactively prospect, qualify, grow and maintain all sales activities, from lead generation through close in an assigned territory or category
    Posses a thorough knowledge of the digital products portfolios; produce needs analysis and use knowledge to overcome customer objective to result in sales growth
    Understand how the competition sells their products and service
    Keep records of products sold and look for ways to increase revenue potential
    Create market presentations and sales proposals while working with the client's budget
    Actively pursue and maintain an understanding of new digital trends in the media industry
    Analyze and interpret key sales metrics


    What you will bring:
    Proven track record of success in driving revenue
    Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
    Demonstrated time management skills
    Strong new business development skills preferred
    Excellent presentation, negotiation and customer relationship skills
    Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required
    Previous experience in a sales environment required; direct experience with advertising and digital campaigns preferred
    Travel expected within given territory to meet with clients - valid CA driver's license/good driving record required

    The annual salary range is $41,600. This position is eligible for incentive compensation (commission) and cell phone reimbursement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, time in role, certifications, etc. This role is eligible for a bonus based on performance.

    In addition to your salary, MediaNews Group offers a comprehensive benefits package, and a 401K plan (all benefits are based on eligibility).
