- Maintains and documents active and supportivecommunication with the patient, and other appropriate persons,concerning progress, problems, home programs, and other issuesrelated to the therapeutic process.

Qualifications:
MINIMUMEDUCATION REQUIRED:
Masters Degree in Speech-LanguagePathology/Communication Disorders from an accredited graduateschool. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the AmericanSpeech-Language-Hearing Association(ASHA).
MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:
None.
MINIMUMLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Licensure by theGeorgia Board of Examiners of Speech/Language Pathology. BLScertification through AHA or ARC.

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES:
b. Provides direct patient care,utilizing modalities and techniques appropriate for patients fromneonates to geriatrics. Demonstrates skills and accuracy inperforming patient care, conducting tests and measurements asappropriate.
Possess instructional skills andknowledge of educational techniques.
Possess leadershipskills in critical thinking.
Must have the ability tocommunicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with otherhealthcare personnel, patients, families, and physicians.
Must have the emotional stamina to deal with a variety of stressfulsituations including emergency response to patientincidents.

Has an abilityto evaluate and/or interpret information and make independentdecisions.
