Impact is hiring a Pre-Sales IT Consultant for our Nationally ranked Best and Brightest Workplace
IT Consultants will work within a territory in conjunction with a team of tenured, outside sales executives as well as Field Network Engineers to conduct comprehensive system/network assessments, discuss organizational goals and business objectives, and design customized IT and Cybersecurity solutions backed and supported by our best-of-breed technology stack and industry experts.
Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in prospective client firstcall phone conferences and inperson alignment meetings with assigned outside sales team.
- These meetings are to uncover organizational challenges, introduce the Impact Managed IT and Managed Cybersecurity service offerings, and show the value of our paid MIT Business Transformation Assessment (BTA).
- Own the MIT Business Transformation Assessment (BTA) process and all associated documentation.
- Work with the branch Managed IT Team to coordinate the planning of the entire BTA process and set all timelines.
- Conduct the onsite interviews, manage the assigned Field Network Engineer(s) while onsite and set expectations for completion of each step in the Business Transformation Assessment process.
- Prepare all financial and ROI documentation to help sell the solutions to the client.
- Review and perfect the writing of the Business Transformation Assessment document, network diagrams, quotes, etc. and prepare recommendations for final client delivery.
- Review and validate findings of indepth Business Transformation Assessment with prospective client. Take the technical details and explain them to C-Level teams in a nontechnical way to show the value of the Managed IT service offering.
- Develop a strategy for technology implementation, prioritizing the elements that will most efficiently deliver the highest number of benefits to present to prospective client.
- Own the Managed IT sales pipeline and associated quota assigned to respective branch(es).
- Lead periodic training sessions with branch sales teams to further their professional development and bolster their ability to find qualified leads for Managed IT and Cybersecurity sales.

Things we Look for
Technical Knowledge
- Advanced level understanding
- Ability to learn and maintain operating knowledge of RMM, PSA, ticketing, CRM, ERP, and other internal systems as needed to perform job functions.
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Internal Systems
- Fundamental understanding of Server technologies
- Experience with Windows Server
- Office365/M365, Azure, and other "cloud" solutions
- Active Directory design, management, and maintenance.
- Microsoft Exchange, SQL, and SharePoint knowledge
- DNS, DHCP, and other serverside networking technologies
- VMWare, Hyper-V and other virtualization technologies
- Mobile operating systems (IOS, Android, Windows)
- Storage solutions: SAN, NAS, Shared storage, ISCSI, Fiber Channel
- Fundamental understanding of firewalls, switches and other networking technologies
- Cisco Meraki, Cisco, or other business grade vendor solutions
- Wireless, Site Survey, and network heatmapping
- Disaster Recovery solutions and backup technologies
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be prepared to travel locally as required
- Must possess technical writing proficiency
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Solutions Architecture, Presales Engineering, IT Management, or related experience required
- Previous experience as a Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect Sales Engineer, IT Manager, IT Director, VP of Technology, Infrastructure Manager, Network Engineer, Systems Engineer, or similar roles.
- 10+ years of IT industry experience
- Experience with a Microsoft Partner organization
- Experience with a managed services organization
