    Opportunity:

    RN - ICU Neuro

    Job Details:


    • Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM

    • Schedule requires 3 or 4 shifts per week

    • Flexibility to rotate between day and night shifts preferred

    • One hardship shift may be required depending on assignment timeframe

    • Every other weekend coverage required

    • Holiday coverage as needed

    • May be required to float to other ICUs or Med-Surg units if needed

    • 8 hours of orientation provided

    • Must have minimum 2 years Neuroscience ICU experience

    • Strong experience required in EVD, ICP monitoring, angiogram post care, CRRT, carotid procedures, and embolization

    • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

    • EPIC experience required

    • Maximum 7 days RTO allowed

    • Clean nursing license required with no license hits accepted

    • AHA or ARC certifications only accepted

    • Tobacco and fragrance-free facility

    • Manager interview required

    • Pre-start modules required (5-6 hours, billable)

    • Care for critically ill stroke patients, neurosurgery and neurology patients 18 years and older

    • Provide post-operative care for neurosurgery and neuro-endovascular procedures

    • Manage ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, ICP monitoring, and CRRT

    • May care for COVID patients

    This healthcare organization operates a 10-bed Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit (NSICU) that specializes in caring for critically ill stroke patients and non-traumatic neurosurgery patients. The facility provides comprehensive care for both ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke patients and serves as an overflow unit for medical patients. The unit is equipped with advanced technology and offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The facility maintains DNV Comprehensive Stroke accreditation and emphasizes high-quality neurological care.
