The University of New Mexico provides a comprehensive package of benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. The University of New Mexico, School of Medicine, Department of Neurology seeks a qualified Neuro-hospitalist.
The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary group of Neurology faculty in providing quality patient care in the inpatient neuro-hospitalist, stroke service and teleneurology service at UNM Hospital.
Academic responsibilities include participation in teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows and research activities of the department.
UNM Hospital is the tertiary care center for the State and the only Comprehensive Stroke Center, NAEC level 4 epilepsy center, and ALS / MDA center in the State.
The Department of Neurology has 42 full-time and part-time attending physicians and is home to well-established Residency and multiple Fellowship programs.
It is ideal for outdoor activities and sports all year-round including running, hiking, biking and skiing. We have excellent local cuisine, breathtaking sunsets, numerous cultural and historic sites, lakes, rivers, deserts and mountains.Board eligible or certified in Neurology
